A pilot is any case that makes use of a method and/or tool developed within KP-Lab.

Pilots have different purposes such as the following:

  • Proof of concept, i.e. to demonstrate that a certain method or tool works as expected.
  • Improvement, i.e. to refine and advance the methods or tools used.
  • Dissemination, i.e. to disseminate methods and tools beyond member of KP-Lab consortium.

Pilots carried out by someone not directly related to KP-Lab consortium (e.g. other faculty) are called extended pilots.
