Communities that are deliberately designed to facilitate innovation and knowledge advancements. In this regard, innovative knowledge communities (IKCs) can be separated from communities of practices (COPs) that are usually very conservative in nature. IKCs are trialogical communities in terms of being organized around advancement of shared objects.
