A method used in flow research that involves intensive contextual analysis of selected 'flow' experiences of participants. Experiences are sampled by asking participants to respond 60 times to a flow questionnaire with their mobile devices during periods of intensive follow up. This method provides information where, when, what, and with whom the participants’ experiences of intensive engagement take place.
