Viewing log files from Eclipse

There is a nice plugin which will allow you to watch the log files in realtime right from Eclipse. It is called Logfile View Eclipse plugin.

Installing it

Can't get any simpler that this.By using the Eclipse Updata Manager and the plugin update site, should get you viewing in few minutes or less.

Step1

Open Eclipse

Step2

Open the Update Manager

Step3

Select add new features.

Step4

Add new remote site.

Use these details

Name: Logfile tools update site
URL: http://www.mimo.ch/update

(Don't mind the warning in the picture. It's because I already had that site when taking the capture.)

Press Finish to start the search

Step5

Select the whole Logfile package. Finish, confirm the license and install. Restart workspace when asked and go to the nex t phase, using it.

Using it

It is really simple.

Open the Logfile view

Open the log files
